Has anyone tried the perma blow dry? Do they even do it in Ireland, or something similar? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm fed up with my curly bush of hair. Arraaaagh!

It is a blowdry that relaxes your hair basically. There have been a few services like this in the past offered in salons, but in the end they are damaging to your hair. This one claims not to be damaging but kind to the hair. Instead of leaving your hair poker strait, it works with the natural kink in your hair and just calms it down. This would be ideal for me, as I like the curls in my hair, I'm just so fed up with the frizz.

This is a link to an article about it.

I've read loads about this in magazines and the one in Daniel Hershesons salon in London is meant to be excellent, if you are really that desperate for it would you consider hopping on a ryanair flight for the day and getting it done?
If I wasn't a poor student I'd definately consider it, it costs around 200 pounds, and with sterling being so close to the euro, you could prob do it, flights and all for about €250...god i wish i had money!! :)

Thanks Becah. Maybe if I'm heading to London for a weekend I might consider it, it's just a pain that none of the hairdressers in Ireland are progressive enough to offer it.

sounds like what they call permanent straightening over here to be honest...that stops your hair gettin frizzy and relaxes it alot and i think you can get different levels of relaxing

It's a great idea and not that expensive when compared with €150 for hi-lites.

Sorry to drag up this post again, but I just said i'd share this post about permanent straightening/blow drys from www.beaut.ie http://beaut.ie/blog/?p=7855#more-7855
According to the article, Dylan Bradshaw's in Dublin is doing these 12 week blowdrys, so might be something to check out!:)
