does anyone know where to buy them?

i called all the local locksmiths they don't sell them, "the bag shop" only sell regular locks, heatons don't/aren't planning to stock them, tesco don't stock them, dunnes stores..they aren't stocking them until the summer (cos, you know, people don't go on holidays any other time of the year!)

i'm out of ideas of places to search!! any help appreciated.
don't have time to order online as we're leaving early on monday.

The airport? I'm sure they sell them. It's not the end of the world if you can't find any TSA locks though...

Department Stores? If you're near Dundrum, try House of Fraser, they have a large luggage section and seem to stock travel accessories.

@Ponster: its not the end of the world, no, but it is a big deal. i can't carry on every one of my valuables so i am going to check in some of them so i'd rather spend an extra few euros on a lock thats not going to be broke open. also i know the airport sell them but i'd just rather purchase them before hand. thank you though.

@mikedragon32: thank you, i'm in the midlands but will give them a call and if they have them then arrange someone to pick up some for me.

We were going to the US and needed TSA approved locks so instead of buying any and having them break into our bags we sealed our bags with tie wraps. On our journey home one of the bags had been opened by homeland security with a post it to say they searched our bag.

Easier than buying a lock. We now have TSA approved locks purchased through Ebay.

There are 1000's of them online.

Ok. My 'different' logic would be to spend a few quid on a non-TSA lock in Ireland which may or may not be opened by security. Then when in the 'states, pick up a TSA-approved for the flight home available from any Walmart/Walgreen-type store.

Got mine a few years ago on eBay - still going strong.

Why not buy them online OP?

The OP is leaving early on Monday. The chances of ordering online today and having them delivered by the weekend is slim IMO.

Well then regular locks will do as long as the OP does not mind TSA and homeland security potentially cutting them in half or just use tie wraps.
