Cheap as chips laptop

I'm in the market for a new laptop, but I have some very specific needs: 1. Light, cheap, hardy 2. DVD or CD writer 3. card reader and/or spare USB ports 4. 2 gigs memory or thereabouts 5. LAN port and wireless After that, I don't give a bobbins. Any recommendations?

There is a decent Dell machiene in PC World at the moment. 250GB HD, 2GB RAM, Windows XP, CD/DVD RW, 15.4" screen. Think they are going for €549.

Under €380 all in. It's a refurb but I've had several similar ones from these guys and never had a bother.

This one is even cheaper and seems to be getting quite good reviews? Any reason to gets yours over that one?

Also: Niether of them mention USB ports, but I'm guessing that's standard on laptops these days (2 or 4, I suppose)

The CPU is considerably better on the other, celerons aint that great chips

laptopsdirect are getting a mawling over here, though.

Thanks, yoyo, didn't notice the different processors. Still not worth it even though the Celeron one seems to be faster?

Cheers Zod, that Lenovo's a great find but it's sold out at laptopsdirect and discontinued at dabs - anyone know of anything similar that's available to buy at the moment?
