Where to Remap Fabia VRS around Limerick

Its 04, 86k miles and in good condition.

Anyone know any good places around Limerick or bordering that can do this?

This place is in Limerick and the prices and results look very good.

    http://www.tunemyecu.com/skoda.htm

    130bhp - 170bhp

    310nm torque - 405nm. thats more than an M3

I have been scanning through the net and its seems the thing to do, but I have been reading about clutch's burning out, brakes not being good enough, turbo's failing and a whole list of other problems because of doing one.Im not the best with cars, I can do the basics like topping up coolant, changing tyrre etc and max changing the oil, air filter and spark plugs, thats all I know.

If the turbo was to go or the clutch needed to be replaced I wouldn't have a clue.Im just looking for some reassurances :pac:

    try predator motorsport in tralee.

OR are you looking for a generic chip?

you should factor in the cost of upgrading your brakes and clutch to handle the extra power if the ones on it aren't rated to handle the power.

if its mapped properly i would have thought the turbo would be fine

I drive a Fabia vRS remapped with similar power. I'd say go for it. Once you don't floor it all the time, you should be fine. Most important mod I'd do is the Jabba rear ARB to sort out the handling.
As for brakes and clutch. Yes the brakes are a weak point on the Fabia vRS however they do work (although wouldn't like to see how they'd perform on track) and I have my car remapped over a year now and don't get any clutch slip.

Where did you get yours done and is there any particular remap I should be looking for?

Im going to ring tunemyecu.com tomorrow to see what they offer, so what should I be asking?

They are charging 300 euro to do it, which is cheaper than I thought.

I will definitely look into getting the Jabba rear done as well.Does it make a huge difference?

I got mine done from Joe and chippedire.com, couldn't recommend him enough.

Yeh the Jabba makes a big difference to the handling as it's pretty woeful to start with in fairness.

Got it done yesterday by auto-tune.ie, cost 350e and they comes to you.He had it done in no time ( about an hour ) and he lets you take it for a long spin to check it out, before paying, they also have a 28 day money back guarantee.Car was fast before I got the remap, now its wicked fast,in no time the car is up to 100mph.Overtaking is effortless, no need to change gear as it pulls hard even in 6th gear.

Im now thinking about changing the air intake system to the one used in the Ibiza ( PD 160 and Jetex drop in filter ) at its next service and Jabba rear arb recommend by fletch.

Anyone know where I can test the bhp/torque levels of my fabia in and around limerick?

Does it have to be a dyno/rolling road or can a diagnostic type system check it?

I've the PD160 air intake in mine too....can't say I really noticed any difference with it tbh but it can't do any harm.

Glad to hear you're happy with the remap :)

The sound of some of them are class after 2k rpm, they all still sound like tractors before it though:pac:

Anyone in particular I should look at?

I like the sound of the blueflame one!
