    Hi everyone,

I have a 1996 BMW 523i, the original car seats are starting to wear badly and I'm thinking of getting them replaced, with leather if possible.

Any recommendations on where I could get a quote on this in Munster?

    Thanks!

To be honest, it's probably not worth the expense on a 2.0L+ car of that age. Maybe a decent set of covers or a half decent cloth re-upholster. Spend any more and you'd be nuts.

you can get leather restorers in the yellow pages. You'd be amazed what they can do

I'd try a breakers yard for some leather seats from a scrapped 5 Series. Traynors up North, a breakers in the UK or possibly even e-bay are your best bet. Just becareful with reconnecting seat air bags, etc.

Leather seats for e39 on EBay

It will costs you €100 to get them shipped to Ireland. We retrofitted a leather interior for a friend of ours. It took less than 2 hours including door cards & some fiddling with seat belt tensioners & Airbag occupancy sensors.

(Note the seats currently on offer are Green, but there is always a couple of sets on offer normally, keep checking)
