how can you tell, if double glazing is air filled or argon filled, low-e, hard coat, or soft coat. 0.1, 0.15, etc or do you need to contact installer.
    thanks.

you need to contact installer. Every window manufacturer has their own product. "Double Glazing" anly refers to the two panes of glass.

Almost all glass companies label their units, usually in a corner with a type of etching which details the type of glass used and if their tempered, low-e or what ever. Depending on exactly where the windows came from this may be very easily read or just a load of code numbers but as with the previous post the best answer would be from the manufacturer or supplier.

    Thanks for that guys
I have looked at 3 different double glazing units, and no info on any of them, other than year of manufacture, and a code. I contacted senator who confirmed this is the case with their units, but that they give a cert with their's.
But agreed it would not be a bad idea to put this info in double glazing unit.
Dosent make sense not to do this, unless your units a ****e.
