    sit in driver seat
    1. Open driver side door without the key in the ignition
    2. Put key in ignition en turn from off to on, wait 10 sec
    3. push lock or unlock button twice, you should hear the sound of the lock mechanism.

Let us know how you get on!

Take out the bulbs and clean the contact with the ignition off both in the bulbs and the bulb holder contacts and see how you go from there.

As for what you owe me, if you wish, you can click the "thanks" button in the last post I made. ;)

Just glad you got sorted TBH!

Try cleaning the back indicator first, it's easiest.

Then if necessary try the front!
BTW what is the model and year of your car?

As for all the "THANKS", I really appreciate it, but what I had in mind was a simple click of the "Thumbs up" button at the bottom right hand corner of the first post. Thanks mate. If you need any more help, you know where to come!

Getting the front indicator out is a bit of a pain, have you the manual?

The rear is simple - again refer to the manual.

A great source of info for anything to do with your car is the toyota owners club avensis forum.

Anyway, see how you get on and if you still have more probs, please revert.
