Moving to Morocco

Myself and the wife are moving to Morocco in the next few months, we will be in Casablanca. What is it like over there? I haven't a word of French - how painful will that be? Also interested in expat clubs , get togethers etc. I'll be working from home so I'm a bit worried about going stir crazy :)
