I'll be grabbing a pair of capris, a pink t-shirt and some socks. I'm a total cheapskate runner. :)

Anyone got idea of lidl sizes? I'm a mens 33 inch waist - is that M or L in Lidl's sizes? 39 inch chest - M or L?

Not too sure about waist sizes but a pair of running tights I bought in their last running specials the waist band tucked nicely under my armpits

I see. In that case I might go for the XXS......in the kid's version;)

Call me a snob but I much prefer Aldi's sports kit to Lidl's - seems to be of an all round better quality. Plus their sizing usually is a bit more accurate, especially for smaller individuals.

Any idea if the heart monitor watch is worth 16:99 ? Anyone have one?

I bought their socks before and they are fairly good, better than the new Adidas ones I bought which make my feet sweat pretty bad.

I've had the Aldi socks before and I liked them, these ones are only €2.99 so very pocket-friendly :)

Made a purchase of a Med black running top.
Nice fit (usually the medium can be swimming on you) and gave it a try out at lunch time.
    Thumbs-up.
Even had three neanderthals in a car shout some obscenity at me - so at least I was noticed!

Yeah Im a real stickler for my how my clothes fit...Ive been looking for a decent pair of running shorts for a while now and the ones out of Lidl are great.

Got a pair of shorts and a top and I was so impressed with the way they fit I went back up to the shop and bought another pair of the shorts and two more tops:D

Now to see if they last more than two weeks;)

Yes it's worth it. Top piece of kit for the price and if it had Timex/Nike or Polar on the face it would be €80.00. I used one for 3 years and still wear the watch on a day to day basis. Just don't buy one with a gimpy colour like red.

I have friends in Germany who think Aldi is like marks and spencers and Lidl is like dunnes!

I picked up a couple of pairs of shorts & a pair of socks.
Ran in them last night, shorts are fine, do the job, but I'm most impressed with the socks.
I've been running with 1000-mile socks and always got a small blister after a few miles in my arch, towards the front - seems to be where the Asics logo meets the insole.
With the Lidl socks I had no such problems - just wish there were more socks in my size. They seem to be more cushioned, but don't have the double-sock of the 100-mile ones. Not too worried though, anything that eases blisters is good by me.

i'd second the second the socks did a few miles last night and this morning in them and they were the business, as for the heart monitor I felt the strap was very tight around the crib cage

I've been buying from both Lidl and Aldi over the last few years and the gear from both performs as well as the known labels.....I do think that Aldi is marginally better though.

Yeah the lidl one I had synced with the treadmills in the gym aswell. I stopped using it because the battery went in the strap...the watch lasted till I dropped it a couple of months ago. :)
