Now that was a good balanced episode.

Very reminiscent of late season 1 and most of season 2, there were serious plot elements scattered among a very light and lively episode.

Also it doesnt hurt that the focus is on Taub and Kutner who once again prove that they are two of the more interesting if underused characters.

Taub's plot while a progression of prior plotlines (cheating etc) was a nice look into the character when temptation was held over him. I admit the conclusion of it seemed like a little bit of a cop out, but at the same time it made sense that he has become so desperate that he was willing to jump at even the slightest hint of escape regardless of how far fetched it was.

Kutner, ok it was a very light plotline but he had some nice bits with Taub and the look on his face when he got House back was priceless. He does seem a bit reminiscent of Chase I admit (and the fact that Chase admited to being just as superstitous)

House was on form for his crazy antics (and the jump the shark reference at the start got a giggle) but I must admit there is an element of a broken record happening with him going up against spiritual/religous people, something that has been covered every season so far but seems to happen alot more this season then prior ones.

I liked the cat subplot and the explanation was actually quite good purely because it didnt go the obvious cat killed them route, which is what I am guessing everyone thought at the start, but didnt go for cat predicts death route either. A simple explanation, though it doesnt explain why Coma man attracted the cat (he neither had a heater blanket or a fever)

I hope they keep the Taub subplot going and start to bring in more elements rather then going back to Foreteen.

Yeah, I giggled alot at the jumping the shark bit, absolutely classic :)
Taubs plot was kindve unexpected. I expected them to just write him out, his character is mostly boring and seems to me to really only be there to be the guy that "gets shít done". Since he is being written as the desperate one as the plot requires.

Ahh no! Taub is brilliant, he's the pragmatic oppurtunist one who has gone up against House more then any of the other new ducklings.

Kutner is the one who gets sh1t done. He has solved more cases then any of the other new guys.

It was alright but I think it was one of the weaker episodes. It was a little too Taub-centric. Also as has been mentioned I think the writers are addressing the superstision and religion angle too much. It's fine the odd time and can add to the fun but when it pops up too much it begins to get redundant and repetitive.

I thought this was a great episode; the time flew by. Liked the cat story - that was one well trained cat. And good to see the focus on Taub and Kutner instead of Foreteen, though I would like them to give Kutner a proper storyline rather than just let him show his ability at slapstick. I was surprised at the lack of reference to Wilson's brother, given last week, and presume they will get back round to it. And I can just see Lisa Edelstein (if she's anything like Cuddy) throwing that box of mice to an assistant just as soon as that scene was over - fair play to her for holding them for that long.

EDIT - and truth that truth is stranger than fiction

I was surprised they did nothing with Wilson's brother. Did notice some Paddy's Day references so maybe they just wanted to stick that episode on this week out of sequence.

Thought it was a very decent episode, the case was interesting. It's already been mentioned in this thread (and others) but when you see a Taub-centric episode, bearing in mind the others he's had this season, it really makes you wonder why Kutner doesn't get the same treatment.

above average episode. some classic house (e.g. the coffee cup with cranberry juice), along with an interesting case.

like you necro, i was waiting to see something about Wilson's brother. but alas not to be.

i think my enjoyment was maybe enhanced by the peripheral nature that the Foreteen storyline now seems to have been made. it's good. makes her a lot more bearable if her 'issues' are not in my face all the time :pac:

Good episode - nice to see Chase in it for more than 30 seconds too, but still no Cameron... hope she re-appears next week.
Kutner, Chase and Cameron are all far too underused. I'd like to see more of them.
