    Hi Guys,

I've been up for the past 3 hours trying to get this to work and my head is now officially wrecked !

I've hooked my PS3 up to my Phillips HDTV using a gold plated HDMI cable - rest video setting by holding down the power button for 6 secs - booted up PS3 (using Composite cable) - deteced HDMI device (this was connected also) and asked me if I would like to use this device for Video and Audio - choose yes - unplugged Composite cable and switch to HDMI source input but no input signal !!!! have unplugged HDMI cable on numerous occassions and have switched off power on PS3 and TV and then reconnected cable but still no signal - what am I doing wrong ??? all posts I've looked at on the Internet suggest actions above but they haven't worked for me..

    Help needed badly !

    Thanks in advance

    EireEV

Plug out the composite from the console and just use the hdmi. Set the tv to the correct channel and hold down the ps3 standby button until you hear two beeps and then wait for the image to appear on the screen, sometimes takes a couple of seconds. Then just set everything to go through thr hdmi.

The one thing I have noticed with the phillps tvs is you have to change to whatever your using yourself, so make sure its set to the right station. Most tvs as soon as you turn on the ps it will switch not with these though.
