Adverts is good for what it is. I picked up some WWE merchandise on it before and was pretty happy with that. Browsing it can be a pain in the ass at times though. Often clumsy to use, and it gets tiring seeing exactly what you want and thinking "nice one" before quicky realising it's already been sold.

Also, the "sort options by" style of option doesn't seem to work too well?

Like i say, for what it is, in its own right, it's a great little site. I just don't understand the need for the "SOLD!" adverts to stick around.

I suppose it depends on what type of car it is!
Boards has a diverse user base, but mainly young people, many with a fairly limited income (waits for shots across the bow ;) )

Have you had any responces so far.
& this is probably in the wrong place! :pac:

    Speak for yourself.

I've used it a couple of times and found it good. It does have it's problems though.

agree, once off the market, it should be removed. It is possible to display (sort) "unsold" only (not sold/sold).

I'd disagree, it could be handy for someone posting up a new ad to judge what would be a good price by checking similar products and what they sold for. What annoys me though is products that are sold that aren't marked as sold.

Please don't post a link to your ad. If people want to buy the car they will find it. Cheers.

Fair comment, I think that the search feature should ask whether sold items be returned in any search.

Perhaps the seller should be compelled to "liven up the ad*" once a week to stop this happening.

    * automated email request to log on and tick a "still selling" box.

Agreed. An 'Advanced Search' option would be good. Where you can disqualify any sold items from appearing at all, and search for searches that don't include certain keyowrds, etc. etc.
