Just a tip for anyone who does a weekly shop in one go (and fills the car regularly)......

Use the self-service checkout and when you reach 50 euros, pay and get a receipt and 5c off voucher, then continue with the rest of the shopping for a 2nd 5c off voucher etc....

    Simple really ;)

Ye thats a good tip if you would use more than one voucher by april 5th. The only thing i find about the self service is that they are aimed for smaller shops so you might not have room for all the stuff.

Great tip, thanks Kent. Similar idea would be to spend €50 each time, so you get more vouchers, and more time to use them. I was thinking it would be great to have some system to pass on unwanted vouchers. :)

It's good they have the offer back but it seems that they are nowhere as cheap as they used to be compared with other stations. They were 102.9 the other day when most other places were a couple of cents cheaper

Many of the Tesco's I've used recently now have "10 items or less / express / basket shopping" signs over the self service areas. I've seen trolleys full of shopping being guided away from self service & over to regular checkouts by the monitor staff while I've been there.

And In the smaller tescos, You'd have to be a pretty gifted conceptual artist to manage to fit half a trolly's worth of stuff in the little weighing areas they have anyway..:D

Used one of these in Tesco in Arklow tonight. Fuel worked out at 94.9c a litre... pretty good :)

I still don't see this as much of a bargain, the most that you are gonna fit in a car is about 60 litres, saving €3

Use it every week and you've saved the guts of €150...

Rather that in my pocket than someone else's...

Do you just have to produce your receipt when you pay for your petrol or do you need to collect a voucher at the customer service desk?

When you purchase €50 or more instore, the till automatically prints out a voucher with your shopping receipt. You hand this voucher over then paying for petrol.

Expiry date was April 5th. Crafty tesco they never stated it was only lasting a week. Their was no other expiry date on the advertising.
