    • Standard Boards rules apply! New to Boards? Start here
    • NO TEXT SPEAK
    • Please read the FAQ or Search the Forum before starting a thread as your question may have already been answered.
    • No personal ads trying to sell phones. Use www.adverts.ie for that
    • Unlocking phones - Please read the entry in the FAQ about unlocking BEFORE starting a thread. If you start a thread and the answer is covered under the FAQ then your thread will be locked and you may recieve an infraction. If you feel a thread is justified please reference that you have read the FAQ / charter and what you have tried.
    • Advertising your unlocking services - Do not post advertising your unlocking services in this forum. If you do you will be banned for a period determined by the mods. If you would like to advertise your unlocking service here please contact one of the mods who will be able to direct you to the relevant person.
    • Surveys / research - Please contact a mod BEFORE starting a thread requesting people complete a survey or if you want help conducting research.
    • No talk of illegal activity (unblocking stolen phones, accessing someones account, warez / cracking software, etc)
    • No blatant advertising/soliciting
    • If your query / discussion relates to mobile broadband (e.g. the dongles & modems sold by the networks for use with your laptop etc) then please use the Midband Forum
    • If you have a consumer issue with an operator use the Consumer Issues forum here
    • Working for a phone operator? Please do not share internal information which you know you shouldn't be sharing. If we have to delete these posts you will be banned.
    • If you have a problem with a mods decision do not challenge it on thread. Instead PM the mod in question or take it to the Helpdesk forum.
    • If you see a post that you believe requires mod attention or intervention please use the report.gif button.
    • Do not mention any staff names or direct contact numbers which are not in the public domain.
    • The buying or selling of phone numbers on this forum is forbidden.
    • Do not sign up solely to promote your product or website. If you feel it's something we could all benefit from then drop a PM to a mod with the relevant info and they will let you know if it's ok to post or not, after you have checked the charter to see if it answers your query first.
    • Breach of rules may lead to a warning, temporary ban or permenant ban.
    • Do not post personal information, such as phone numbers or especially, IMEI numbers
    • Do not resurrect dead threads that have not seen a post in six months or more.

Should you have any queries on any of the above please PM any of the mods and we'll be happy to help out :)

A note to those working in the mobile phone industry:
    • If you work in the industry, you need to declare your interest. Remember, it's not hard to track down where you are posting from. It's also not that difficult to spot somebody with above average knowledge of a product/service.
    • Soliciting feedback on a product/service is considered advertising, please do not do it.
    • Assisting Boards.ie members is permitted, as long as you do not cross the line and start recommending your products/services
