I have just subscibed to rapidshare...and bought a media player (iomega screen play pro) and I have managed to download some films and programmes...eventually..but they are all .rar files...I have tried various ways to expand them, but nothing is working...how are you all doing this ?I'm going crazy..as i'm not the most technical person. I'd love for this all just to WORK!
Any advice would be really grateful
    thanks

when you have winrar installed, open the first rar icon and pull out the first file to say your desktop, this will make/extract one movie file, you can then delete the rar

7zip is a very good free tools that can extract .Zip, .RAR and crap load of other formats.

thanks fo that...but as i'm not the most technical person and have been struggling with various formats etc over the past couple of weeks....i've decided to go the 'torrent' route! seems to be working ok, only had one movie that won't download to a disk, but works fine on the computer.

Please read the charter and be VERY careful about what you post here. If you have issues with files of this nature, I suggest you take it to another board for support.

Oh, and welcome to boards.ie :D
