    Hi,

I have got myself an Iphone with no contract in Belgium which I am running on Meteor here. I want to get insurance for the phone but meteor do not cover Iphones. Does anyone know of any insurance company that will cover me independently of my service provider?

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah, it'd be useful to know. O2 offered it to me at the paltry price of €10/month which would infact be nearly as expensive my home insurance over a year

    It's "only" €9/month http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/connect/O2/Home/Shop/Find+out+more/Insurance/

Your house is far less likely to be stolen than your phone.

    Hi there

If you have house insurance you could put it under the All Risks section of your household policy which should cover any one item under €1000 on standard policies that are removed from the house regularly. This is how wedding rings and guitars are covered. Rate applied should be 5% pa of replacement value so in this case €30 per year. All Risks includes covers accidental damage and theft.

Ask your broker/ company - they mightn't advertise it but they should provide it if requested

    Good advice.

I did exactly this, and got my Belgian iphone covered for about €2 per month.

Indeed! You don't take your house to the pub with you and flash it about. :D
