Power problems with receiver/s

Hi all, hope someone can put me straight with this!
I bought the Lidl satellite kit with silvercrest receiver about 6/7 months ago. The lnb has 2 outputs so i hooked up my old Grundig Sky box for basic channels and the silvercrest for the rest in 2 seperate rooms. Recently the Grundig receiver had been giving a bit of hassle and powering off before even loading the programme page. Yesterday it just packed in, but so did my Silvercrest receiver. I changed fuses etc but to no avail. Now I dont know what to do and am worried that the dish may have done something due to power difference or something which may have blown the receivers completely.
Any advice would be great, cheers.

    Gary

Your post isn't clear. Does either of your receivers light up when plugged into a power socket but NOT connected to the LNB cable? If not, try a different power socket.

If they light up, test them on a friend's dish system.
If they don't light up, get them repaired or replaced.

Before connecting anything to your LNB, check the cables and LNB for short-circuits. (If you don't get on with your neighbours, they could have stuck a pin through each cable.)

    Thanks for the reply.

No neighbours so that rules that out!

There is no light on either receiver and i have tried other sockets etc.

Not sure about a short circuit, I wouldnt even know where to start there.

All is hooked up properly and the connections are all done correctly, or so it would seem.

I am just afraid of getting new receiver or getting a repair job and the same thing happens again.

    Cheers

    Gary
