    And I was reading yesterday that there would be no copy+paste :D (must dig out the link). At this stage, everything is pure speculation.

    I think we will know more tomorrow after the briefing.

    What does Apple typically announce at these briefings in terms of detailed info. Was there one for the iPhone 3G this time last year?

    I don't remember. I only had my iPhone for a few days this time last year, so I was somewhat oblivious to the goings on at Apple.

    There was an event to show off 2.0 and the SDK last year. I recon the iphone OS will get ported to an Apple Tablet/netbook. It could tie in with the rumor with a premium App Store, maybe software could be sold on this App like a special version of Pages for the Tablet (maybe I'm doing too much dreaming). I think we can expect Flash for the iPhone as Apple and Adobe are known to be working together.

    I wondered if they'd use this occasion to announce an update to the iPhone hardware. However I'm guessing they would only announce a new iPhone if it's release was imminent. Rumours have it that a new iPhone is due in June/July.

    It probably will be June, like the 1st and current generation iPhone. I see the invites are titled "The Third Coming" which could indicate to new hardware (like a third Touchscreen device, or the third iPhone) aswell as 3.0 software update.
