O2 dropping out

    I have O2 "broadband" and I'm generally happy enough with it, aside from one or two issues. My main bug bear is that the connection seems to automatically disconnect after exactly 12 hours. I was wondering if anyone elses does this?

    Yes. I suspect they expire DHCP leases in 12hours or something.

    It's normal. In fact it can disconnect a lot more often and likely does.

    No Mobile Phone company based system is "always on"

    mine disconnects every 2-3hours sometimes more frequently
