It had gone completely off topic and turned into a Garda bashing thread.

If you wanted to do that, go to the emergency services forum and post, giving the members of An Garda Siochana who don't use the Motors forum a chance to respond and defend themselves.:mad:

I believe a personal attack on Peasant or any Mod for closing a thread is 100% out of order. THEY are what keep the threads/forums alive!!!

So if a post goes the way moderators don't like it can be just closed. So it's debate as long as the moderators agree. I agree the post had been done to death too, but why lock it. It was dead in the water. Heavy handed moderators stifle debate and devalue these forums.

+1. This is why there is feedback. If you disagree with a Mod, either flag this in Feedback or PM the mod in question.

If you disagree with a friend or colleague in work, do you go around bitching about them to everyone else? Or do you go up and talk to them directly?

Whichever your answer is will surely explain this thread.

Oh God - another one of these paranoid threads! Despite what you may think, mods are not out to get you, nor do we close threads because we don't particularly like the thread itself!
