    I've been trying to record myself, I have a couple of ideas for a few songs, but whenever I start recording them, I can never get them done in whole. I just get way too distracted with either the grooves from ezdrummer or I get simply happy with just the recording of a riff, or I can't seem to get that guitar sound or when I am playing I lose track of the click and have to restart countless times or .... I've been considering having someone to do the "production" and impose me some tight playing and do the all-around tracking and DAW fengshui (not programming, but helping set out the right patterns, work the tempos, etc). This is not a serious thing, it's more of a learning thing and my huge intent to have a full song of mine recorded, so I can then start looking for the missing elements (drummer/vox). Is anyone having too much time available on their hands, willing to spend some good time trying to get some "pro results" out of homestudio-level recording gear? I wouldn't mind paying, provided I am not paying the whole price of a pro and provided I would get the minimum results at the end of the day. What do you guys recommend me to do?

    And by the way, is there any audio engineering/production school in Dublin ? (Sorry, I'm foreign and have only been around for a few months)
