Frosts - when is it safe to move seedlings out?

    It depends on what they are, you can get a late frost up to the middle of May. If you are thinking of putting seedlings out, you'll have to harden them off, ie put them out for a bit each day,gradually increasing the time outside,before you plant them out,otherwise the shock might kill them or at least badly stunt them.

    I did that with sunflowere seedlings in april and a sudden frost killed them.Dont leave them out overnight for a couple of weeks and keep them up off the ground if they're in pots as the cold air sinks.
