Negotiating with NI dealers

    Hi,
I am looking at a Passat from NI and have been browsing the websites.
The prices are similar across the board - looking at Stg 11-11.5K, which, to RoI eyes is very good.

How much room is there to negotiate?
In the RoI I would expect 5-10%. What is the expectation with one of the bigger NI dealers -eg Agnews, Donnelly, Hurst?

Interestingly Warranties are better in NI - 3 years v 2 years.
I looked at dealers here but the prices were 8-15% higher with less warranty. I would like to keep the business local and avoid the time lost on the NI trip.

    Thanks for the input.

From listening to people at work who have bought both up North and across in the UK there is very little leverage on the price with dealers there. It is different to here, they price their cars alot closer to the actual price they expect to get for them. By all means try to haggle but don't expect to get anymore than a couple of hundred pounds knocked off at best from what I have been told.

With the likes of car supermarkets the sticker price is the price you pay, no haggling, they will let you walk away empty handed.
