Fence Fungus?

I treated part of the fence surrounding my house before the winter kicked in. The remainder of th fence that didn't get a coat now seems to be oozing some green fungus or moss like stuff. THis is running down onto the concrete supports as well. Before treating the rest of the fence is there something i should do to get rid…

I treated part of the fence surrounding my house before the winter kicked in. The remainder of th fence that didn't get a coat now seems to be oozing some green fungus or moss like stuff. THis is running down onto the concrete supports as well. Before treating the rest of the fence is there something i should do to get rid of this. I applied a coat over it already onto one of the panels and it just seems to come through. Is there some treatment that i should use first?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...
