Luas from Sandyford to St Stephens Green.
Luas from Abbey Street to near enough Ballyfermot.

The red line Luas isn't that close to Ballyfermot at all. A good 15-20 minute walk at best as you have to go through Inchicore

After St Stephens Green, get the 78A from Aston Quay.
Don't go on the top deck

Well I guess it depends on where in Sandyford you're coming from...

If it is Sandyford Village or the Sandyford Road, then the 44/44C bus to city centre, otherwise if it is the Industrial Estate or Balally, then LUAS to St. Stephen's Green.

Then walk to Aston Quay and either the 78A or 79/79A bus. Both will bring you to the Ballyfermot roundabout and along Ballyfermot Road.
