I bought quite alot from them when it was TGD and they were great to be honest, but I'm not so sure now that they have changed company name and details.

Yeah its odd, they were the new ebaybanned, with better service, but who knows how it will run under new owners.

Sure you cant get a gun shipped here via ems anymore anyway because of the arseholes in heathrow, so I wouldn't bother.

edit - regarding postage alone - no issues, as said by stercus below...

and they said it would be posted on the 14th when they got it into stock theyare fairly quick at answering emails
ill post back and see how long it takes to get here

If the emails are still comming from Omix - then I'd rest easy. I know anyone new could pretend to be him, but if the emails are good english with good detail in general, then I'd say you're ok.
If not - couldnt say. But I'm sure with the company changeover - things might be a bit hecktic. Hold tight for a day or 2 more methinks.

i mean when o ordered it the first few days was great in comms up till the "postage date" then it went quite ive a feelin that they realised that they didn have it instock afterall when it took them a week for them to get it before posting to me.. i could be wrong and they might not be able to answer right now but sure ya know your self when ya order something ya nearly expect it to be with ya 20 mins after you pay for it lol

I know exactly what you mean.

I did order a load carrying belt from them once and they said it would take several weeks to get a replacment as the stock item had a fault discovered when about to ship. They offered a refund or exchange. Exchanged it for a backpack and happy days. I dont think the orig item ever came back into stock...
They tend to post err, "not every day"... usually at weekends I think, but I always got what I ordered and was very happy with them. Best of luck.;)

yeah thwy said they posted it on the 14th which was saturday so ill see how it goes ill post back when i get word from them

got a couple of patches off them in their new 'Apex' guise, but also got lots of stuff off them when they were TGD (scopes, vests etc). I believe they've just changed their website address and name (maybe tax reasons?) and thats about it.

Also they seem to only ship on Saturdays, but unlike Jesse ^_^ of Ebaybanned fame they will usually ship it out the same week you order verses EBbanned who seem to need your cash for a week before they post it....

Good communication from Omix, and they still drop in a TGD business card in your parcel.

i wouldnt let the whois information scare you away, its just the same as them using a private whois only they took the cheapo illegal way to do it, prices look good but not too good to be true, wouldnt mind ordering a few small accessories and see how it goes

usually with the scam sites youd see some high end piece of gear for a rock bottom price and nothing extra being sold for it (in general not just airsoft)

Lads if i purchase a gbb from these guys using the whole ship slide and barrel assembly seperately from the body in a second package option can i hope to recieve it in ireland? I presume these guys use ems for shipping hence my question

well i finally got my order from tactical gear depo today or atd as they are now called ordered on the 7th/3 and posted on the 14th/3 and arrived on the 24th/3 so there ya go thats the response time form them if anyones interested in ordering from them

How did you pay? The reason I ask is; they had a post on their website to say they could no longer can accept paypal directly to the site... you had to tell them your order and they would invoice you with paypal. (mmmmmm)

Now that has disappeared from the site and now they use "Alertpay" (wtf)

I tried complete an order but when it came to checkout - one could not use either mastercard or visa on the Alertpay site - only accepted American Express. Seemed like a load of BS. I emailed them a few days ago to ask about this and other payment options and still no reply.
Obviously a change of personell as well as name...

i seen that alert pay last nite when i was on the site looked a bit fishey to me
i paid by paypal when i ordered from there i dont think i'd order usin the alert pay thing might be ok but as you said the american express option only?
it might only be a temp thing but who knows

also there might be new staff as they took forever to answer a email only got a reply when i said i was going to dispute them through paypal then i got a thrown together email sayin he was away in china or some bs like that

Thanks for the heads up. Pity they seem to be down the pan at the moment. My email was worded such that Omix would have understood me - but if it's only Engrish understood by new staff - then I dont expect a reply... not soon anyway.

It looks ok I admit but I think I'll not bother with Alertpay - just for one shop who obviously have a problem with paypal (or vice versa), who dont respond in days to emails and who seem to have changed staff anyway...
