Is it warm enough to plant grass? Forecast says 10-14 degrees for the next few days. Live in dublin beside sea so low chance of any ground frost.

Also I'll be planting the grass on earth that up until 2 weeks ago was infested with weeds for the best part of 10 years. Should I put down a few layers of compst first?

Might be worth waiting a further 7-10 days just to see if there is any re-growth of weed. If so, re-spray area and remove all dead material after 10days. Scratch surface with rake and spread a very thin layer of compost (better mixed (50:50 with lawn sand) and then sow garden seed.

Temps are warming up but there is still risk of low temps which will affect seed/new grass.
