I took two different BMW 520D SE's for a spin in Northern Ireland yesterday. The first was a 2007 reg with 52k miles on it and the second was a late 2006 reg with 30k miles on it. Incl vrt etc, the 2006 one is coming in €2k cheaper. What's worth more from a resale point of view - year of registration or lower mileage? I'm not likely to put any more than 20k miles on it per year.

Both are important factors, but the newer one will probably be easier to shift on. Just try work out which car is more appealing to you - better spec and trim and go from there.

Having said that though, there's only a year in the difference and 20k miles which is about a years difference - so they should balance each other out!
