Fuel allowance

So welfare sent me an application form for fuel allowance. Thing is, I don't think I'm eligible since my boyfriend works and citizens information says it's only valid between September and April and I'm not on JA for 15 months. So I don't know if welfare are just having fun wasting paper or if they know something I don't. Anybody have any idea how it works?

Well if you do a search, you'll find plenty of information or even better shockingly enough, there is a website called www.welfare.ie that has all the information you could hope for and more on fuel allowance.

Think you are right. It is only available to those on long term Jobseeker's Allowance, and your boyfriend's employment would also knock you out.

Thank you for confirming that, uoluol.

Gotta love the fact that they send me a form for something I'm not entitled to, yet it took them 6 months to respond to my appeal.
