    Hello all..

Well as you may already know, Two weeks ago we celebrated our one year Birthday of being on air in Waterford, so first off we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge Thank you to all the people in Waterford who supported the station by listening every weekend.. sending us promo CD's/ Demo's/ EP's or even those who just spread the word on a regular basis..
In resent months due to a frequency shift of a station close to us and because of necessary broadcasting laws stating all stations must be a certain distance apart on the FM band we have been urged to move from our original frequency of 99.9MHz... after much testing and examining of available frequencies in the Waterford area it was decided to go ahead with the move on Friday the 13th of March to our new frequency of 99.7MHz FM. Fortunately thats not too far from our original freq (99.9MHz). We felt that moving all the way to the top of the band was unnecessary when their was availability on 99.7MHz making it much easier for our regular listeners to find us.. we have run testing to make sure that we are causing no problems with the transmissions 0.4MHz above us and 0.5MHz Below us.. while also respecting the possibility of harmonics caused to stations 10.7MHz above and below us of which we are clear in Waterford. So with all this in mind MetalHertz FM went ahead with the move to 99.7MHz on March 13th,

Thank you for your time in reading this and please do forward this on to anyone you think might want to know about the move. Also thank you for your patience while we have been testing.

    MHFM crew
