Anybody know the most painless way to fix this? Couple of months ago I tried to open WMP and it just wouldn't open, no error or anything, other people seem to have a similar problem from a quick google. So I stop using WMP, as I didn't need it. Now, a few months later, I need to watch DRM files in WMP.

So does anybody know what to do? Should I system restore to a random date sometime? Can I ever restore that far? Will it affect my media on my computer or applications? If not is there any other program etc I can watch the DRM files in?

    Thanks

Wiping out the DRM folder often fixes ost DRM issues.

    Thanks mate.

I don't believe DRM files are the problem though, it is WMP itself, it just won't open. I try to run it and nothing happens. If I can open it I can run the DRM files, but as it is I can't open WMP to watch them.

Is there any entry in the event viewer when this happens?

Well I have never used it beofre but on abrowse I don't see anything relating to WMP, I'll keep poking around in that local list, dunno what to look for yet but I think the last hour has nothing really.
