    So, gentle readers, is it OK to cut grass in Dublin this weekend?

    I also have a large area of buttercup on my lawn which has killed the grass there. What's the way to get rid? Thanks

    Should be fine in Dublin. People in Donegal however should wait until the next full moon. ;)

    I think buttercups can be a sign of poor drainage.

    Spot on. One of the ways to decrease their presence is to improve current soil drainage through spiking, aerating, and sanding.
