Which wire is which on battery charger ?

    Its probably a stupid question to some, but which is colour is connected to the positive terminal and which to the negative when charging a battery ? Thanks for any replies

    Red is positive, black is negative

    and if you get them wrong you will most likely blow a fuse in the charger, so have a spare handy (usually about 10amp)

    Any decent charger will have an auto-cutoff, so no damage would occur. Even the cheap Lidl ones do, not that I'd have connected it backwards or anything...

    The lidil ones are brilliant! Have one for about 5 years and works perfectly.
