Withdrawing item from sale on Ebay

Is there anyway to do this? I was bidding on a graphics card that had 2 hours left, and I was winning for a good price. Next time I logged on it had disappeared - not in lost, not in won, just gone?

I put up two phones for sale, and the first one got a pathetic 20 euro, even though its worth at least 80, both on ebay normally and 2nd hand locally. No escaping that one, have to sell it. But now I've a 2nd phone, and that's fetching an equally measly price with a few hours left - about 25% its value. Can I withdraw this from sale before the sale is completed or how does that work? I couldn't stomach having to sell a phone that cheap again. I know Ebay is about bargains but these prices are a joke for whatever reason...:(

You should have set up a minimum price on them accordingly (there is a hidden minimum price iirc) but once there are bids on them no, nothing you can do. Of course if your friend happened to come in and bind on it last minute (against Ebay policy mind you)...

The sale you were bidding on must have been removed by eBay. Once there are bids on an item, you can't remove it. You can always refuse to sell it, but you'll be slapped with negative feedback, and probably have a seller non performance strike against you.

Ah crap. Pray that it'll magically shoot up towards the end then I guess. (You might say that's the norm, but the last one didn't....)

You can cancel bids on your items at any time but you can't end a listing if there's less than 12 hours to go.

With regards to the item you were bidding on, if it was removed by eBay, you should've received notification about this. There may be a message about that in your My Messages.

Do you not have to give a reason for canceling a bid though?

Also if you get a friend to bid onn it who lives in the same area or town the bidders might suspect

Yep, the options are something like item is no longer for sale, item was broken, item was lost etc
