    Hi all,

I am traveling to the US in April. I have health insurnace with aviva. Does anyone know what advantage do I have but getting travel insurance. I think that my health insurance covers me for hospital visits over there anyway.

Having health Insurance will not cover you for damage or loss of baggage or personal belongins.

It will not cover if the airline decides to bump you off the flight for overbooking. It will not cover the cost you have spent on your holiday if you fall ill or somebody on the trip falls ill prior to going. It will not bring you home early if you fall ill or somebody(please god no) dies on the trip.

It will also not cover you for:

Lost or stolen credit card cover.
Lost or stolen passport or driving license.
If you miss your departure all by yourself your insurance will not cover you.
Lost or stolen property or sometimes even money itself.
    Cancellation or curtailment.

Hibernian Aviva sell travel Insurance as well and Im sure you will be able to get a discount as you are already a member.

Grab some travel insurance for peace of mind. We buy annual travel insurance for €49 each from http://insurancebookers.ie who are part of ebookers.
