Does anyone have any experience with this club? I am looking at getting back into martial arts (trained in Wado Ryu for 3 years) and Im looking for a club in Dublin City Center or somewhere in Kildare? If anyone has any suggestions Id be grateful, Im not crazy about kick boxing or anything that involves grappling/ground work too much. Also if possible that there are adult only classes, I know it seems a bit mean but I dont enjoy training with kids.

hey there - I'm part of a great kenpo club in town
we train downstairs in Isaac butts - our instructor runs early classes Monday to Friday - I think it's 12.30 to 4 - then another clas 4.30 to 6 and a later class 6.30 - 8.

Friday is the only day the late class is not on. There is also a double class from 12.30 to about 3.30 sometimes as late as 4.30 on a saturday morning.

There do be some younger students some of the time - but for the most part they train during the earlier hours of the day & if you are in a class and older, you are generally always training with adults!

If this interests you drop me a PM and I can hook you up with the instructors number - but if the few "young adults" (haha) around the class bothers you, sorry for wasting yer time! ;)

And heres a wiki about the style of kenpo we are doing; our top instructor is in his sixties - is a 7th Dan & trained with Ed Parker. Very impressive and fun instructor.

Aw I feel really bad about being so picky :o

Thanks for the heads up, dont get me wrong, I dont mind teenagers doing it but Ive seen a few clubs welcoming kids as young as 6. I tried kenpo as theres a club near me but I wasnt crazy about the style.

    Sorry :o

Hey no worries - each to their own :) Any time someone asks about a club in town I feel the need to let them know about our place, just in case it's right for them.. but if you've tried kenpo and it's not for you, I wish ye the best in finding exactly what it is you want.. ;)
