Hi Guys , As you probably know I have a golf website, but what i DOnt know is how to play the game. never been on a golf course sober and fully dressed.
I was hoping someone would have some ideas of how I should approach it, should I just approach the course with dis regard for everone on it, I dont think so.
I dont wanna hold anyone up, put there lives at risk etc, does anyone have reccomendations for a golf tutor in Dublin, even better does someone wanna take me under there wings for the day, I am a keen learner, never give out, and will listen with the same eagerness as listening to the fire alarm.
Not looking for a handy introduction , but also dont wann abe put off .
Go easy On your replies. . . . looking to learn the game...so please no smart replies

My advice would be to play a public pay and play course such as Swords, Sillogue etc as it wont cost you the earth to play and you will find that there would be people there in the same boat as yourself and sure we all have to start somewhere. If you are worried about holding up others then you should go as a twoball and preferably on a weekday as most courses are quiet during the week but busy at weekends, understandably, so you will have the place to yourself.
Regarding manners on the course, just remember to replace your divots, repair your pitchmarks, rake the bunker after your sand shot and wait for the fairway/green to clear before taking your shot. Also dont go onto tee boxes and greens with your golf trolly. Stick by them rules and there wont be a problem - oh, and dont walk in the line of your partners putt. Practice, Practice, Practice after that and enjoy. Dont take it too seriously either as golf is not a game of perfect...or so im told.:D
