JSMS 4.1.2 users?

    Anyone else using this version? Anyone finding that you get a lot of connection errors that seem to occur randomly and without reason?

    I'm plagued by this box almost every time I try to send a message.

    Everything is fine with my settings, logins etc.

    If I quit and restart the app 2-3 times sometimes it will allow me to send a message, other times I just have to give up and wait to try the app again a few hours/days later.

    It's getting frustrating.

    Anyone else? Any fixes? Explanations? Alternatives?

    Same happens with me.(not every time though).
    I'm with o2.
    As you say,its pretty random.(Thought it might have been me..!!!).
    Its a great little little app so normally I just persevere with it when it does this.
    a reboot always sorts it out for me

    Thanks Iomega man. I should have said Im O2 as well. Im glad that its not just me.
    I might link this thread in a mail to Mr JSMS, Im sure he'd prefer to know about it as well.

    Hi guys. O2 are having a lot of "downtime" recently so JSMS obviously won't be able to send messages during this time.

    This also affects iphone & ipod touch Jelly SMS users. Keep an eye on the help section of the jelly sms blog for more up to date info regarding these types of operator issues.

    Hopefully O2 will sort this out soon as it has been happening a lot recently and their webtext forum is hot about this issue.

    It looks like this particular incident is down to O2, not JSMS, but it is also worth mentioning that we have just finished a complete overhaul of all of the HTTPS communications code in JSMS. We did have one or two users reporting connectivity problems, even when the websites were working OK, and the new code seems to resolve those issues. This new code is currently being unit tested, and I hope to release it to our volunteer beta testers over the next few days.

    So the bottom line is that version 4.1.3 should bring with it more robust communications code. And hopefully by then O2 will also have got their act together!
