    Hi Guys,
I drive a 03 L200 and when I started it tonight to head home from work the 4x4 green light started to flash. I was in 2 wheel drive at the time, I put it into 4 high and 4 low then back to 2 wheel drive again to see if that would clear it but the flashing green like came back on. I have checked the owners manual but can't find an reference to the 4x4 light flashing.
Would anyone know why this is happening.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chris

It normally means the driveshaft hasnt unlocked, its nothing drastic but will use a lil more fuel as its spinning the front diff.
Check the wires and pipes that go to the solenoids on the front axle,I think your problem is most likely electrical (its a common fault).

More than likely its a sensor on the transfer box. Check out www.pocuk.com or I think co.uk, It should be able to point you in the right direction

Its usually the actuator on the front diff that sticks.

Get under the jeep, move the actuator from side to side yourself andf then give it a spray of WD40 and then a spray of white aerosol grease.

    That should fix the problem.

If the problem remains that the 2 small solenoids under the bonnet on the passenger side are clogged or fecked. So they need cleaning or replacing with new solenoids.

I found out all the above the hard way.My L200 had the same problem, but a bit of time and effort on my part sorted it out.

Dont buy from Mitsi dealer, buy spurious part from motor factors, much much cheaper.

    Thanks Paddy,
I gave my L200 to my mechanic as it was due a service and told him the info i got from you guys on boards.
When I got it back the problem was sorted. There were some other things that needed fixing so I forgot to ask him how he fixed the 4x4 light.
My initial post was because I didn't know if I could drive safely with the light on after the replies I received here I knew I wouldn't kill my vehicle if I kept driving it.
I really appreciate all the help from you guys.
    Thanks again
    Chris
