    Oh dear...not the most auspicious start for the French boys. Bit of a mismatch. Hopefully they'll come on song, and get up to speed, as the season progresses...

    Welcome to NL1 Toulouse!

    Widness are easily the strongest side in the division and it was good tha the french have played them first from the perspective that they have shown the standard that will need to be met.

    Catalns won their first league match but then struggled for the rest of the season finishing bottom. I'd much rather see a side improving week on week than fading. If they have the success Les Cats have had, albeit in NL1 I'll be happy.

    Absolutely, a super league team in all but name, and had political and geographical considerations not intervened would undoubtedly have made the cut for the new expanded competition...

    Last night will have been a steep but valuable learning curve for Les Toulousain...
