    Just wondering what the most famous Irish reels are?

    I want to learn a few that will be instantly recognisable to people.

    To be honest ther aren't many that people who don't play trad will recognize, maybe The Maid Behind the Bar, or Cooley's Reel. Why only reels by the way?

    The Sally Garden's and St. Anne's Reel are also great. That'll get them jumping:D

    Miss Monaghan.
    The Boyne Hunt.
    The Concertina Reel.
    The Mountain Road.

    & The Masons Apron, if you want a "perform" a more showy kind of reel...

    The Bucks of Oranmore, Lucy Campbell's are very trad.The Moving Cloud is pretty cool too, listen to Gerry O' Connor's version, it's savage!
