Hi

On a mac when you go to 'system prefs ->network->assist me->diagnostics' it checks the network status and if everything is ok they all get the green light.

The last 3 of ISP, Internet and Server is what im curious about. Sometime my connection drops and all 3 of these will be yellow, or just internet and server will be yellow etc..Can this tell me anything about what the connection problem is?
My ISP seem loathe to help me when they hear i have a mac

Could be your router not errr routing correctly?

Have you tried setting a static IP address / DNS server in the network settings ?

Is this on Ethernet or Airport ?

Who's the ISP, if you need the manual setup info it might help to post
