5 months ago I bought a car from Sarsfield motors. I still haven't got my log book. They basically took 20K of me and told me to F*** off!

Before buying I told them a tyre needs replacing...when I came to collect they switched the bald tyre with the spare!!

They r also agents for AIB Bank... They tryed TWICE to get me to sign loan aggrements from AIB that were not the amount I had asked for.

    I've tried SIMI..no joy there r not a member
I've contacted the MD... hes a total plank..worse than the sales guy.

I've been in touch with the dept of transport and they have showed me a way to get the log book. It involves a solictor, a BMW main dealer and exspense...

I'm in the middle of doing this... just wondering has anyone else had any hassle from this shower???

I presume you've tried a search of boards? As far as I can recall there's rarely been a good word said whenever their name comes up on this forum.

No need for solicitor for logbook .
go to your local tax office and they will give you a form that you need to get stamped by a dealer that confirms chassis & reg, etc.
you can then apply for a book in your name.
Unfort i can't remember name of form - Garage Certified form, or something

I purchased from them last October and received the log book within a couple of days. The car needed 4 new tyres and they did that.Timing belt needed cahnging and that was also done.
I had no problems with them to be honest. Was it Conningham Road or Killeen Road branch you were dealing with?

sorry, but no "naming and shaming" type threads without proof and/or hearing the other side
