Redundency. Your story?

I was selected for a redundancy last year, couldn't believe it, was hitting my targets, delivering projects on time, getting on with things, I couldn't believe my job was selected for a redundancy. I was only in the place for a couple of months, actually happened a couple of weeks after the big stock market crash, the company wasnt effected by this but sales globally were effected... So my role was moved to the uk.

I was up sh*t creek without a paddle, already mortgaged up to the eyeballs, with six mouths to feed, loans bills to pay.

Thankfully someone took me on and gave me some temp contract work which is going to hopefully tie me over.

    Hows everyone else..

I guess you were last on, first off? There is no fairness in the world, the guy sitting next to you may well have been useless, but if he costs more to pay off, you will be selected.

Just remember .. it's not about you!

Yeah, had left a fairly secure job (6+ years)also in an attempt to gain a meaningful "career".

That gamble didnt pay off, could be worse ...I know.
