    Hi,

My parents house is in my father's name only and he wants to put it in his name and my mother's name. Can he do this himself without employing a solicitor? Can anyone supply links to sites where I can find out the procedure on how to get this done?
    Thanks in advance

I could give you a long answer with all the reasons why not to do this, but there are just too many, bottom line is that this isn't the sort of thing you shouldn't be DIY'ing leave that for the garden shed and get a solicitor to carry out the transaction correctly. It shouldn't cost more than a few hundred quid.

    Get a solicitor.
