    Hi all,

I am heading to Amsterdam on a stag in July and would greatly appreciate advice from anyone who has threaded the boards over there re: cheap and cheerful accommodation. The stag party is approx 12 in size. Looking for either hostel (that takes stag bookings) or 2/3 star hotel that will do same. Closer to centre of Amsterdam the better for all the attractions (i.e. coffee shops :pac:).

    Cheers
    C0lly

Went on a stag a few years back to Amsterdam-don't remember too much :) However we used a site which seemed to be good for large groups and offered decent value plus we only had to pay on arrival so was handy not having to organise deposits etc.. in advance. Site was www.amsterdam.globalhotels-24-7.com
Also suggest a canal trip to unwind before leaving-loads of places offer this at pretty decent prices.

Amsterdam = The Globe Hotel. I have stayed here many times and we always got the rooms with either 3 beds + matress on floor including en suite or the 4 bed with en suite.

There are open dorms on the top floor. *Shudders at thought of.

Food is amazing value and served till very late. Try a dutch breakfast. You wont eat an Irish breakfast ever again.
