Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

After trying to find a reputable online dealer for some of the more expensive brands, i thought i would ask the experts in here.

I am looking for a decent oversized watch by the likes of U Boat, Invicta, TW Steel or XXL

Anyone got a recomendation of where to purchase online that will ship to Ireland. Shipping to Norway incurs a hell of a lot of taxes whereas Ireland is generally ok within the EU

I've heard good things about this place but they're in the US. They used t ship to Ireland as a mate got a watch from them last year.

Keep in mind you could be hammered by customs if buying from the US

Yep its a lottery that way. Plus postage wise go for UPS ordinary post, rather than courier. Less likely to be stolen. That's how the watchmaker I used to use in the states always sent his stuff and never had one go astray. From what I gathered from him, stealing from couriers doesn't carry the huge penalties like stealing from the official US mail does.

Its the bits you see on the manufacturers websites that worry me about the number of forgeries out there...

Trying to buy a genuine one seems tricky enough

True, though that crowd above are authorised invicta dealers and have an actual business address and have been around a while. You can never be sure, but they and places like that are usually well safe. Plus mostly the forgers are going for the high end stuff. If I was looking to get a watch commonly forged I would look at the dodgy sites and get a feel of what they look like. Most are pretty obvious. Some are laughable to the even vaguely discerning eye.

the uk sites watches.co.uk and watchfinder are very good

altho i doubt they stock any of those,

got a pic of the style you want and a price range, those uboats are pretty pricey for fashion watches

The UBoats are too pricey, but I am looking online for a decent dress watch and also a new oversized watch.

they ship to Ireland and the price is very good for the type of movement they have.

Hi - I'm new to this forum and have been searching around to buy a watch online. I'm planning to spend up to 3K on a present for myself and was wondering if anybody here had every dealt with this crowd?

i have personal experience with watchfinder.co.uk and found them good, altho it may take a month or so to get a watch.

I got a piece there at 20% less than the best discounted price paul sheerans would give me and saved a fair few quid!

    Hi Cyrus,
