Internet Café

I've had 4 computers working on pre-paid system for some time now.

This worked thanks to a small router that generated usernames and passwords and printed them out on a till receipt.

That router is no longer working for me and it doesn't seem to be made anymore.

Can't afford to run it as a staffed internet café so I've been looking at coin operated systems.

I've been talking to this crowd and they've come back to me with a price: http://www.coinandsurf.com/index.html

But I really need a few quotes before moving forward. Does anyone know of other companies in this line of work? Or have any other suggestions as to how I can run this thing?

    Thanks.

if your willing to invest in proper technology look at the ones in the jervis and ilac centres

theyre top notch ,designed to take dogs abuse and work unsupervised and theyre as secure as vending machines so all u would have to do is collect every day or two

theres probably a sticker on the side to contact whoever supplies or maintains them

passwords on pieces of paper is really yesterdays technology so i would up grade if u can and get decent systems in place

Yep. That is the crowd I've been talking to. Think they're responsible for the airport ones too.

Was wondering if there were any other companies offering similar set ups out there. Due to the nature of my funding I'm required to get 3 quotes.

    Hey Monkey Fudge,

Long time no see. Here's some links worth investigating but i reckon you'd be best off with the bigger supplier, not that i have much knowledge about any of them.

    http://www.com2000.com.hk/tt-1main.htm
    http://www.positivetechnology.com.au/coin_operated_computer.htm
    http://www.eboxbox.com/

The guys above should give you a quote too to meet requirements.

Nice one, but you know that's not why i'm helping LOL.

There's a Boardies 10% Discount today so make sure you use it!

Also was thinking you could set up a system that the coin operated machine could have a CAT5 connection for Laptops. I know i'm being selfish but i'd love that as surfing on a random computer isn't the same. Just a thought.
