Nightlife in Praia da rocha?

    Hey guys,

    Me and my g/f are head to Praia da rocha in August, we're both 21 so we're looking for some advice on places to go at night? Any decent clubs/pubs we should vist?

    Duff,

    I was in Praia do Rocha a few years back and its a small place in comparison to Greek Islands or the Canaries etc. The nightlife is limited but there is good craic around the town.

    Off in the direction of Praia do Vau you will find English bars along the strip and towards the pier and just off the main strip you will find 3 Irish bars huddled together which are definately good fun.

    We went in our early 20's and didnt think too much of the nightlife although it certainly is there. There is a place called Club Praia do Rocha which every lout from western europe stays along with the many unfortunates who booked it blindly so they are well catered for in Praia do Rocha.

    Alvor is not far away in a taxi and has a more relaxed atmosphere with some nice restaurants. Probably nice for a romantic night away from Praia do Rocha and if your missus likes shoe's then head into Portimao(port-y-mow) where she will have a whale of a time.

    Sorry I dont remember the names of the bars and clubs although one club opened at 1am and closed at 7am right on the main strip.
