I decided to stop reading after Denise Mina finished her stint on it because although Andy Diggle's stuff is surprisingly good, it seemed to be underpinned by an editorial desire to try and make sure that Hellblazer could be a perpetually ongoing title.

That being said, there have been some great stories in there - if I had to pick favourites, it'd be a draw between the whole Fear Machine saga and Heartlands. It's a shame DC seem to have no interest in collecting the Paul Jenkins run, but then again they've finally gotten around to properly collecting the Jamie Delano run so maybe it'll finally be released soon...
